BAND BIOGRAPHY

 

Clockwork Psycho are a Slovenian psychobilly band from Ljubljana. The trio was formed in 2011. when former memebers of other punk, oi and metal bands from Ljubljana came together in a desire to play psychobilly their own way; Clockwork Lilith (doublebass and vocals) and Al Eržen (guitar and back vocals). Not long after that, along came Dogz on drums.

Due to the members being experienced musicians who've been present on Ljubljana's music scene for quite a while, after no more than half a year of being formed, the band was ready for live shows. And that's when it all got started; the band started playing show after show and in 2012. recorded their first demo. Then they began playing all across the region, even played their first festivals and tours. The first promise of success for Clockwork Psycho was the invitation from the american psychobilly legends (and one of the band's musical heroes), The Koffin Kats, to join them on their European tour. Together they played around 15 shows. Then came the second promise of success for the band - the chance to share the stage with Banane Metalik at their show in Ljubljana, one of the bands' musical heroes too! General interest for the band was seen to slowly outgrow the region as their song "Lost Boys Choir" was chosen to be released on the CD compilation of "Dynamite", the prominent German rockabilly, psyhobilly, country, soul and ska music magazine. Also, their other songs started to play on radios in London and Moscow!

After all this success, there was a brief change in the band's setup - the drummer Don Mihon takes Dogz' drum throne for a few regional shows. Regrouped in their original setup, at the end of 2013. the band hits the studio and records their debut album "Nightmares" which is expected to be released in 2014. In the meantime, the band gets another chance to play with the greats, only this time it's the greatest of the greats - Demented Are Go, at their show in Zagreb, Croatia. After a brilliantly executed show, an avalanche of great reviews and fan feedback positively confirms that the band is at their absolute peak with their new drummer Mare!
